The course will take place near Whitefish, MT at Stryker. This group class is intended for climbers who want to know how to create anchors for top-rope systems. Students will be shown how to utilize established bolts, natural anchors (like trees and boulders) and how to place gear protection (cams, nuts, and hexes) into cracks to create safe, secure anchor systems for their climbing ropes. While the emphasis of this course will be on building anchor systems, some time will be allotted for students to climb on the anchors they constructed.
And since will be having a one-hour lunch break, be sure to pack your own lunch.
The prerequisite for this course is the Intro to Top-Rope Climbing Class or previous climbing experience.
